Your player name, chapter progress, choices, and anything you write in a reflection are saved only in your browser's or device's local storage, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
No account, no login, no analytics, no cookies, no third-party trackers. We cannot see what you write. There is no server behind this app that your progress talks to.
The Transfer code (found under The Island → Transfer) encodes your save into text that you copy yourself. It isn't sent anywhere automatically; you choose where it goes.
Reddit and the book links on Ko-fi are outside our control and have their own privacy practices. Visiting them is subject to those sites' own policies, not this one.
This app is not directed at children and is rated for mature audiences due to its narrative content. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, since it does not collect information at all.
If this policy ever changes, meaningfully, because the app's actual data practices changed, this page will be updated and the date above will reflect that.
